Ride a ship into a black hole, through its edge, to the centre. Every ray of light you see is traced through the real geometry.

Hole

The black hole is the Schwarzschild solution of Einstein’s equations (no spin), written as space flowing inward (the Painlevé–Gullstrand form). In that form nothing special happens at the edge, so the light can be traced straight through it.
Your ship falls freely from far away. It isn’t aimed at the centre, so its path curves round the hole about once before it plunges, then crosses the edge and reaches the centre. Your clock (on the ship) is used throughout.
Every pixel is a ray of light traced backward from your eye: the stars, the disk and its bent images. Your own motion changes what you see (aberration and Doppler shift), and gravity shifts colours too, so the sky ahead turns blue and bright and the sky behind red and dim.
The readouts use the real numbers for the size you choose: distance, the time left on your clock, and how hard the hole stretches your body (tides). A small hole tears you apart far outside its edge; a giant one lets you cross it without noticing.

The disk is an idealized thin sheet of glowing gas with a chosen brightness and temperature. Its light uses the correct speeds and shifts, but it is not a gas simulation.
Real black holes spin; this one doesn’t. The pacing is a time-lapse that slows down near the edge. Colour shifts stronger than 6 times are capped, so the picture doesn’t just turn white.
What happens at the very centre is unknown: general relativity predicts its own breakdown there.
